Over 20 years of experience in substance abuse co-occurring treatment dealing with issues such as addiction, mental health issues, relationship issues, PTSD, and men's issues.
Jim is a native of the Hartford area. He utilizes a person-centered strength based approach using stages of change and CBT. He has over 20 years experience in medication assisted treatment (MAT) with 9 years as Clinic Director of one of the largest medication assisted treatment organizations in Connecticut. He is well-rounded in providing Clinical Supervision in preparation for the CAC, LADC and LPC examinations. He is adept in achieving successful quality improvement standards adherence for medication assisted treatment for CARF, DPH, DMHAS and the DEA.
Jim believes that individual and group therapy should be energetic, focused and goal oriented. He is a dynamic group facilitator with experience leading groups including: stages of change, TARGET (PTSD), men’s group, relapse prevention, Anger Management, and psycho educational groups. He has extensive experience with treating addiction, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and trauma.

Jim is also an accomplished musician and volunteers his talents for the Relay for Life of West Hartford, West Hartford Fire Department MDA fundraiser, and Gabriela's Scoop Night for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
